Welcome to the Ranjahr System, mynock!

You've just arrived at one of the sorriest heaps of spinning dust in our glorious Empire -- the crusty end of a frigid bantha teat parsecs from anything that matters.

Second planet from a dim yellow star, Ranjahr will be your home away from home until the brass decide your Tour's over. Permafrost's so thick here, the planet might as well be made of solid rock. A series of lakes and small seas around the equator make for a somewhat more temperate climate there, but don't think it's some kind of paradise -- we're still cleaning out the scum from long centuries ofwarlordism and a decade of Seperatist occupation. Expect insurgents, factional militias, and of course the local criminal element (alien scum, as usual) ready to make whatevercreds they can out of the chaos.

So why here, I bet you're thinking. Under all that desolate tundra are huge deposits of petrochems, and the Seps had bought off every warlord and pumped as much of the stuff as they could into their illegal rebellion. There are a few mining concerns out in the asteroid belt and cometary cloud, too. Well, now we ownRanjahr and to the victor go the spoils. The Emperor and the Senate have decided we need Ranjahr's resources to bring about the New Age of Progress, and so here we are. Here YOU are.

A word of warning. This isn't gonna be some soft posting. Serve your tour, stay alert, and keep your nose clean. They've got a moff here now -- a Corellian called Gadj -- which means the VIPs are watching. If you're lucky, maybe you'll earn a berth on the next R&R ship heading to the Minos Cluster. If you're REALLY lucky, maybe you won't end up shipped back to the Core in a banner-draped crate.
