"Cheekta Vota, Jau Sinda?"
It was much too warm in the audience chamber, and the turgid air reeked with a pungent earthiness that assailed Jau Sinda's senses. The vulgarity of Huttese syllables always made her stomach squirm, but the Kaminoan's face was still as marble as she bowed before the fleshy mass of Rabblo the Hutt. He was, after all, a client.
"Yes, your eminence, this is the one," she answered, straightening. Jau Sinda beckoned to her assistants, a pair of wookies carved up by so many scars they were barely recognizable as such. Between them was the girl who'd cost Jau Sinda so many sleepless cycles-- and Rabblo so many thousands of credits. She was twi'lek, with a light emerald skin so common to her race. Her lekku hung straight down her back, swaying gently as she was led forward into the light. Jau Sinda had dressed her in a indigo sylex jumpsuit, and it shimmered pleasantly on the twi'lek's lithe body. Jau Sinda felt an uncharacteristic flush of pride. The twi'lek girl was beautiful by any standard. As beautiful as science could make her.
Rabblo's viridian eyes widened, and runnels of slime dripped from his great lipless mouth. It seemed to Jau Sinda that every centimeter of flesh quivered with desire; his tail jerked and twitched, scatterering the bowls of candied rhyll he'd obviously been gorging himself on. Even his gamorrean bodyguards seemed unsettled by the sight of the twi'lek. They snuffled softly and flexed their sweaty hands around their vibro-axes.
"Inkabunga, Kaminoa. Da wanga foonta. Ree foonta," Rabblo's leer grew as he regained his composure. He stuck a meaty finger towards the twi'lek and beckoned.
"I am glad she is to your satisfaction, eminence. The samples you sent my lab proved to be quite useful in building a precise genetic profile."
Jau Sinda nodded to the wookies, who pushed the girl towards the waiting hutt. The twi'lek turned to Jau Sinda, her red eyes dark but calm. She hid her passions, almost as well as a Kaminoan. There is no fear of the hutt. No uncertainty in her assigned place. The Kaminoan again felt pride for her handiwork. It would require many days of mediation to purge the extraneous emotion, but she allowed herself the luxury for now. She watched the twi'lek stride to the hutt, step up on the gilded dais where he sat. Rabblo quivered and leered, and his eyes shone with malevolent glee. He was a shrewd judge of character; he noticed how she moved. Like a vornskyr-- graceful but deadly.
"Bargon u noa a-uyat, Kaminoa -- ree creeda. Vota hatta goodie ," Rabblo stroked the girl's cheek, and licked the slime from his doughy lips.
"I am pleased to hear you say that, eminence. Ah--you may transfer the balance of the payment to the same account as before," Jau Sinda replied carefully. Few things disturbed her composure, but talking money with a Hutt never came easy. She was also somewhat surprised Rabblo planned to give this beauty as a gift. After such an enormous expenditure involved in creating and training this twi'lek, she should think he'd prefer to keep her for himself. No matter. Her work here was done.
"Gutan Anolia, Lord Rabblo," Jau Sinda bowed again and turned to depart. The audience chamber had grown almost unbearably warm. She and her wookies were nearly to the door when Rabblo called back to her.
"Cheekta pika na?" he demanded.
Jau Sinda smiled. Of course! How could she have forgotten?
"Biri'anni, eminence. You may call her Biri'anni."
